The Do-Maru armchair takes the name of the ancient samurai armor, built with rigid plates of painted and decorated leather that wrapped and protected the body of the warriors. As with the Almora swivel armchair, designed by Doshi Levien in 2014, also in this case the shell of the seat was made with a pair of overlapping shells, softened by two counter-paddings that can be covered in fabric or leather. The rear support, in cast aluminum, underlines the conical line of the armchair as a vigorous line, while the front support is in metal tubing with different finishes, which match the colors of the shell.
